System targets

Manage all your company's System Targets


During a simulation, the Attack Vector connects to each System Target to execute the events — running the commands, programs or tools that replicate attacker behavior. A System Target is a physical or virtual server or workstation running Windows, Linux or macOS. For meaningful results, System Targets should be representative of your real defenses (EDR, antivirus, SIEM integration, etc.). To create and configure one, see  Add a System Target .


System Targets list

The list shows, for each System Target: its operating system, name, IP address, authentication type, username, the status of the last connection test from an Attack Vector, and whether it is assigned to a campaign. You can order the list, filter (OS, authentication type, assigned or not), and search.


Create a System Target

Create a System Target from Resources > System Targets with the Create a system target button: provide its name, IP address, OS and authentication method, and optionally run a connection test before creation. The full procedure — including enabling remote access on Windows targets and troubleshooting connection tests — is in  Add a System Target .
You can directly test the connection to the target. Enable the switch Launch a connection test before creating the system target and select your chosen Attack Vector and access protocol. In this case, the target will be created only if the test is validated.


Edit a System Target and test its connection

The target name is only an alias; change it from the target's details view. From there you can also update the username and password (or key) used to connect, with the Update credentials button.This screen also lets you test the connection: select an Attack Vector and a protocol to confirm that the flows are open, the required service is active, and the credentials are valid.
